    More thoughts on Providence

“All that we know of tomorrow is that Providence shall rise before the sun.”

This quote from French Dominican Henri Lacordaire, OP is a favorite of mine because it expresses confidence that while we cannot know the future, we can count on God’s constant and benevolent care for our lives — even and especially when tough times offer doubts.

That resonates authentically with me; others may have different understandings of fate and destiny. We decided to ask the question: What accounts for the fascinating twists and turns of life that make all the difference? We wonder and wander about Providence with people who have compelling life stories. Here are three bonus features from Mike Leonard and me -– there is so much More inCommon that we didn’t have time for on TV.

    Good Coaching

Nate Leaman brought Providence College Men’s Hockey to its first national championship on April11. Now he’s USCHO Coach of the Year.

Coach Leaman instilled championship values long before last week: Work hard. No excuses. Push off failure like a launch pad to success. Play with passion and purpose. Improve every day. Have your teammate’s back.

Good code for hockey. And life.
